Private In Studio Session

Some clients prefer the use of various Pilates apparatus during their session. Jessica offers one-on-one sessions at her in-home studio on Long Island. Depending on location, sessions can also take place at a studio in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Jessica uses traditional Pilates equipment to help clients find balance, strengthen, and increase mobility.

FOCUS AREAS

Prenatal

A woman's body goes through many changes during pregnancy. Pilates helps to strengthen the core muscles and pelvic floor, improve posture and breathing, and maintain strength and flexibility throughout pregnancy.

As you progress through your pregnancy, Jessica will work with you to modify exercises that address the needs of your changing body. You will also learn how to incorporate Pilates into your daily life so that you can stay strong and injury-free!

Postnatal

Postnatal Pilates helps strengthen the pelvic floor, abdominal and deep postural muscles, and assists in regaining pre-pregnancy fitness and energy. Whether you are six weeks or one year postpartum, Jessica will work to improve your body mechanics, proper posture, and lifting techniques. You can return to your little one refreshed and recharged, and most importantly, you will feel like your body is yours again.

DIASTASIS RECTI ASSESSMENT

An assessment will be done prior to any first postnatal session to determine where we should begin. If you have diastasis, don’t fret - you’re not alone! Many women have this condition post-delivery and it can be corrected through working the deep abdominal muscles.

Injury Rehabilitation

Clients often find Pilates after a specific injury. In addition to building proper support with core strength, Jessica will work to balance your muscle groups by strengthening weaknesses, lengthening tightness, and bringing proper range of motion to the joints while stabilizing the core. A Pilates regimen is an excellent way to rehabilitate injuries!
